The Birth of Elbadry Home Furniture: 1932
Once upon a time, in a year long past, our marketing manager asked us to write an article about the company. The only condition was that it must not be boring or dull, because no one reads a boring article unless they’re trying to fall asleep.
The story of Elbadry Home Furniture began almost a century ago, a journey of success that weathered numerous global crises. Imagine running your company under the shadow of World War II!

We’re now in the 1930s, specifically in the year 1932.
Surviving and Thriving Through Global Challenges
The Industrial Revolution was in full swing then, though still in its infancy with primitive machines that served specific industries—not including furniture making. Yet, this revolution demanded a massive output of furniture to furnish the homes newly purchased by the lower and middle classes, who were finally experiencing increased incomes, and to equip the hotels, factories, and companies that thrived in this era of prosperity.
Primitive machinery wasn’t the only challenge. The prevailing culture in furniture design didn’t follow standardized designs, so the industry heavily relied on the skill of the craftsmen. Furniture making was more akin to unique art.

Transformation from Workshop to Factory
As time progressed, so did the workshop, eventually transforming into a factory sprawling across 6,000 square meters, equipped with advanced machines and skilled labor.
The evolution wasn’t just about machinery; it extended to the materials used in production. Elbadry was among the pioneers in introducing materials like PVC and CPL, which later led the global industry.
